New crank set Record™ 12x2 Speed: new design and without hole in the right crank for improved aerodynamic. The new crank set Record™ 12x2 Speed, whose mono-directional carbon fibre give a consistent optics to the group, uses for perfect power transmission the Ultra Torque system for adjusting the steel axle. The new crank set Record™ 12x2 Speed can be mounted to all frame models, whether with disc brakes or other brakes, because it optimises the chain line at the frame with rear stop of 130, 135 or 142mm without having any impacts on the Q factor which remains with 145.5mm. The innovative shape of the outer chain ring and the contoured bolt ensure quick and silent shifting. In addition, the symmetric tooth shape at the inner chain ring improves the stability of the chain junction. Carbon fibre was increasingly used in the double, standard bolt circle diameter (112 and 145mm) in order to reduce the weight. Mounting can be made by eight screws which improve the stiffness of the construction element. The different number of bolts for every of the three gear combinations (34/50, 36/52, 39/53) make it easier to shift thanks to an optimised locking of the combinations. In addition, the relief of the outer chain rings make it easier to shift down in dead zones of the pedaling motion and improves the performance.
