Link chain locks, or quick links, are fast becoming the most common way of fastening a chain. Made up of two pieces that attach to either end of the chain, a quick link slots together and will then click into place with the help of a bit of force. It also makes it easier to take the chain apart when the bike and/or drivetrain needs a thorough clean, and if you have a spare in your back pocket, a quick link can get you out of trouble should your chain break mid-ride. The XLC Link Chain Lock CC-X27 is designed for use with 11-speed chains, so it will be compatible with most modern road and city bikes.
